XBox 360 Live service is going to be shutdown for a day on September 29, 2008 in preparation for new software update. New software is promising to bring new interface that will have new categories like channel to view photos, movies and games and also some Primetime channel to play new game show titles.
This new software update will introduce new avatars. Each Xbox Live member will be able to create custom character with thousands of options.
Xbox Live gold subscription became over 22 percent cheaper over $49.99 MSRP. Xbox 360 Live 12 Month Gold Card plus 1 Month Bonus card is just $38.96 after price cut. Microsoft also discounted some of Xbox 360 hardware. Xbox 360 Core Arcade Bundle is just $199.99 now.
