Sony has released PlayStation 3 firmware version 2.41. The change from previous 2.40 version is that Sony apparently fixed the problem when consoles became broken by firmware update. The biggest long awaiting feature in game XMB support was introduced in version 2.40.

I am exited about Blue-Ray winning in HD format war and so conveniently stores cleaning out their inventories of 80 GB PlayStation 3 for something bigger and better.

The rumors are that Sony is sticking to their having just two models motto. And that 120-160 GB models with Dual Shock 3 controllers is going to be their top model, hopefully with the old price tag.

“Ars technical” also have posted on why Sony PS3 is better and future proof Blue-Ray player. So with NetFlix plans starting at just $4.99 and ability to use PlayStation 3 as media center it becomes a no-brainer, I need to get one to myself, like now…
